Site Directors
Site Directors are our camp counselors that have been around the longest. They have experience working at camp, leading activities, solving problems, and talking with parents! They are on-site for any questions you might have throughout the week.
David Reisenauer
I am excited to be entering my 3rd year at La Senda! I am an alumni of the University of Minnesota Rochester and a current student at Johns Hopkins University pursing my Masters of Science in Nursing. I first encountered Spanish in high school, where I quickly developed a passion for learning as much as I could about the language and culture. I am so excited to share my passion with you all and to help you all develop a love for the language which lasts a lifetime. |
Shay Ginuga
Hi! My name is Shay and I am a junior at the University of Michigan. I graduated from Eden Prairie High School and first studied Spanish there. I am also studying Spanish in college. I loved learning Spanish and taught Kindergarten in Ecuador last summer as well. It is super cool to learn a new language and learn about new cultures. I have worked at La Senda for three summers and really enjoy using my Spanish over the summer. |

We love our camp counselors, and we know you do too! These are your group leaders, your activities leaders, craft instructors, and so much more! Each counselor is fluent in Spanish and excited to help your child learn!
Brittany Uittenbogaard
I'm going into my junior year at Minnetonka High School. I've been learning Spanish ever sense I was in kindergarten through the Immersion program at Minnetonka. I love working with La Senda, as we value the fun in learning and growing Spanish speaking skills. |

I will be a Junior at Minnetonka High School. I have been enrolled in the Spanish immersion program at my school for the past 11 years. I love Spanish because it is so fun to be able to communicate with people from different places in the world. |
Avery (MJ) Morasco-Johnson
I’m going to be a junior at Minnetonka High School in the fall. I’ve been speaking Spanish for 12 years and I’m platinum seal bilingual certified. I love learning languages and working with children. Growing up, I had 5 foreign exchange teachers who lived with me and helped instill my love of language. |
Griffin Carver
I’m an incoming junior at Minnetonka High School. I’ve been learning spanish since kindergarten at Groveland elementary, and since then I’ve loved being bilingual and speaking spanish. I like working at La Senda because I can practice my spanish and teach kids how to have fun with it. |
Natalie Newman
I have spoken Spanish since Kindergarten and have attended in the Minnetonka District. This fall I will be entering 8th grade. This is my second summer at La Senda and continue to love helping kids with there Spanish speaking abilities! La Senda is an amazing place to have fun, be creative and meet new friends. |

I am a freshman at Holy Family and have speaking Spanish sense kindergarten. Spanish has been such a big part in my life as I have learned it ever sense I was little. I love being at camp and helping out kids grow in their Spanish speaking skills. |

I am going into 8th grade at Minnetonka Middle School West. I have been learning Spanish since kindergarten in the Spanish Immersion Program at Clear Springs. I love being able to speak another language and learning about the cultures that speak Spanish. |
Olivia Rindahl
I am going to be a Freshman this fall at Minnetonka High School. I've been in the Spanish immersion program at Minnetonka since Kindergarten. Working with kids is something I'm very passionate about. The joy they get from speaking Spanish is blissful. I love working at La Senda because I find excitement in fulfilling their mission to try new things and have fun. |
Andrew Goodier
I am currently studying at Minnetonka Middle School West, and I am in 7th grade. I've been learning Spanish since kindergarten when I was in the immersion program. I was immediately drawn to the language because of its beauty and the way it rolls off the tongue. I am passionate about Spanish because it's fun to learn, say, and since it's so similar to English, you can learn it in a matter of years. |

I go to Minnetonka Middle School West as an 8th grader. I started learning Spanish right away in kindergarten at Clear Springs elementary. I love learning Spanish because it gives me more options to connect with others in the world. I am so excited to be working here at La Senda this summer and to meet all of you guys! |

I am a 7th grader at Minnetonka Middle School West. I have been in Spanish immersion since kindergarten. I like speaking Spanish because it allows me to communicate with people of different origin and culture, and it’s always interesting to learn new languages. I think that La Senda is an amazing opportunity to get to know responsibility and leadership skills. |

I am a freshman at Minnetonka high school. I have been speaking Spanish my whole life. I have grown up speaking Spanish and joined the Spanish immersion program 3 years ago. I think that Spanish is a beautiful language and I love that being to teach kids more about it. I love that La Senda teachs kids Spanish and is super passionate in doing so. I think that kids wanting to learn a new language is incredible and La Senda encourages them! |

I am going into 9th grade at the Minnetonka High School. I learned how to speak Spanish when I was in preschool. I also did the Spanish immersion program at Clear Springs Elementary. I am passionate about Spanish because I can talk to many people around the world and learn other cultures. I am passionate about La Senda because kids can learn Spanish without having to do tests and homework. |
Abby Edstrom
I will be entering 9th grade in the fall at Minnetonka High School. This is my second year as a counselor at La Senda and I love working at the camps. I have been speaking Spanish since Kindergarten in my Immersion classes at school. I’m so excited to have fun with the campers and help them grow their Spanish speaking skills. |

I go to school at Minnetonka High School and I'm going into 9th grade. I have been in the Spanish immersion program at school since Kindergarten. I think that Spanish is a great language to learn, and I love how useful it can really be in my life. I work at La Senda Spanish Camp because it's a fun place to be for the summer and I love being with kids, and helping them have a passion for the Spanish language. |

This is my third summer working at LaSenda. I'm in Spanish immersion and am going into eighth grade at Minnetonka Middle School West. My favorite activity at LaSenda is Water Day and seeing all the kids have so much fun! |

I’ll be a freshman at Minnetonka High School in the fall. I started learning Spanish in kindergarten in the immersion program at school, and I’ve been speaking Spanish ever since! I wanted to work at La Senda because I never had a fun environment to learn Spanish without the stress of learning vocab words and studying for tests. |

I go to Minnetonka Middle School East, and will be entering 7th grade next fall. I’ve been speaking Spanish for about 7 years. I learned Spanish by speaking with other Spanish speakers. I am passionate about Spanish because it is a very fun language to speak. I am passionate about working at La Senda because it gives me a chance to teach others about Spanish. |

I am a freshman at Eden Prairie High school! I have been speaking Spanish since i was three years old and use it to communicate with my family in Chile. I am passionate about Spanish because its apart of my childhood and culture! My goal is to influence more and more children to learn about the Spanish speaking world! |

I am a junior at Minnetonka High School and have been in Spanish Immersion in this district since kindergarten. Spanish has been a huge part of my life for many years now and I am always looking for opportunities to improve. I am excited to work at La Senda because it gives me an opportunity to use Spanish this summer and working with kids brings me so much joy! |
Josie Post
I’ll be starting my senior year at Minnetonka High school. I started Spanish immersion in kindergarten at Park Spanish Immersion, and have done immersion ever since. I have always loved speaking Spanish, and I always enjoy it the most when I am using it socially. Memorizing Spanish words in school was never my favorite, and I definitely believe that the best way to learn and love Spanish is by actually speaking it. I am really drawn to the La Senda philosophy: that the best way for kids to learn Spanish is by speaking it in a fun and casual setting. |

I am wrapping up my 7th grade year at Minnetonka Middle School West. I have been in spanish immersion since kindergarten. I am very passionate about spanish and love learning about the diversity of the world. I love how connected La Senda is and I think it is a wonderful and safe community! |

Our program crew team is in charge of all the materials we need to make camp happen! They work behind the scenes to pack materials, purchase additional needs, and transport everything to and from camp. You don't see them, but we can't run our summers without them!

I just graduated from Southwest Christian High School. I will be attending Bethel University as a freshman in the fall. I love the mission of La Senda and believe that it is so important for kids to learn Spanish in a fun environment. I took Spanish in high school, and I think that it is very crucial for kids to learn it and grow to love it at a young age. |

Executive Director Hola, I'm "Profe Emma!" I'm a recent graduate of Bethel University with a double major in Spanish and Biokinetics. I started learning Spanish in school when I was 13 and slowly realized how much I enjoyed it! Since then, I've had the amazing opportunity to live in Segovia, Spain to pursue my passion of learning and teaching Spanish. In addition to working at primary schools in Spain, I have also been a Spanish Instructor at Excelsior Elementary for seven years and worked with Minnetonka's Spanish Immersion program. |

Executive Coordinator ¡Hola! I've been a part of La Senda for two years now, and I will never get over the passion that our students and our staff have! I graduated from Bethel University in spring 2022, and I love working with kids! I learned Spanish all through middle school and high school, and I wish I had an opportunity when I was younger to attend a camp like this! |

Operations Director ¡Hola, me llamo Livi! I studied Elementary Education with a minor in STEM at Bethel University and graduated in December 2021. I grew up learning Spanish in school, and I love that I can continue speaking it beyond my years as a student. Working with children is my passion, and it brings me so much joy empowering them to learn a new language (and it’s a lot of fun!) |

Human Resources Manager ¡Hola! I’m going into my sophomore year at Minnetonka High School. I’ve been in Spanish Immersion through the Minnetonka District since Kindergarten. This past year marks a decade speaking Spanish! I love working with La Senda because, like me, they value having fun. This motivates students to speak Spanish and allows them to build connections with other Spanish speakers. |
Erin Kubik
Administrative Specialist Hola! I’m Erin! I am a recent graduate of Chaska High School. I am just learning Spanish and find it fascinating to see all the little kids who already know so much. I work here because of La Senda’s mission. I love that here we focus on passion and fun. Providing kids with a place to learn and discover what learning spanish can do for them and how it can be fun. My favorite part about camp is the opening when we watch silly skits and dance and sing. I love to see the kids open up after seeing how fun camp is within just the first 15 minutes. |

Chief Financial Officer Hi, my name is Ty! I'm a junior at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business. I am majoring in Finance and am so excited to be a part of La Senda. I have heard about the program for a while and think it is a great program for children as well as a great experience for high school and college students looking for work experience. I took Spanish all through high school and think the language skills are so important for kids to learn at a young age. |
