Immersion
Learn in SpanishThis program is designed to teach Spanish using the immersion method. Contact us for these classes: Bebes- parent and child (ages 0-2) Chiquitos 1- Preschool 1 (ages 3-4) Chiquitos 2- Preschool 2 (ages 4-5) Ninos- Kindergarten to grade 1 Chicos- grades 2 to 5 Spanish Club
Learn about SpanishThis program teaches Spanish using La Senda’s level progression curriculum. Classes are taught using bilingual instruction. Students progress through levels as they meet the standards and gain skills.
Classes are available through Minnetonka Community Education. Class format: September through May, weekly classes. Viajeros
Learn through SpanishViajeros, translated to voyagers, lets kids learn other skills and activities. This program is for kids who already have a solid Spanish foundation. There are a range of activities that are designed to provide kids with fun extracurricular programs. All instruction is in Spanish. Contact us for these classes:

New to SpanishLa Senda is a great environment to learn Spanish for the very first time! Kids are in a critical period for language development and we take advantage of that by welcoming them into a fun, Spanish-speaking environment. Maybe you’re thinking about immersion school in the future or you just want to expose your child to new opportunities, now is the time to start! BeginnersBeginner level students are those who have had some exposure to Spanish from lessons at school or from a Spanish-speaking parent. At La Senda, they are able to build a strong foundation for loving Spanish. They see others speaking Spanish and begin to develop an eager motivation to learn. Students get to experience how fun Spanish can be outside of the classroom environment. |
Immersion StudentsLa Senda has awesome experiences for immersion students. We want them to be challenged yet celebrated. Students who already love Spanish thrive at La Senda. For those students who might be burnt out from school or more reluctant to speak Spanish outside of the classroom, we show kids that learning Spanish is fun! We want to help kids find their own motivation to learn Spanish. Native LevelLa Senda is the perfect community for kids whose first language is Spanish. Kids get to have fun and meet new friends all while being part of a Spanish speaking community. Maybe you’re a native speaker, but struggle to get your children to speak Spanish. Here, staff encourage and motivate kids to take pride in their ability to understand and speak Spanish! |

Spanish is a growing language that is becoming increasingly spoken in the United States. In many other countries, it is common for kids to grow up speaking multiple languages. Not only will Spanish be helpful for your child’s future career, but studies show that speaking a second language improves cognitive development, memory, and first language proficiency. With all of the amazing benefits that learning Spanish can provide, now is the time to start. Language acquisition becomes more challenging as you get older.
